    Technical notes

    Fix joists to a solid, slightly draining base before laying boards.
    Use hidden clips for field boards; do not face-screw through the visible deck surface unless the project drawing requires it.
    Use double joists below every end-to-end board joint shown by the red dashed lines and keep a small drainage gap between the paired joists.
    Use 5.0-6.0 mm side gaps, 5.0-6.0 mm board-end gaps and 8.0-10.0 mm fixed-object gaps.
    Board-end joint positions: 2200 mm / 2900 mm.
    The staggered saving layout alternates joint positions between rows; review each red dashed joint line on the drawing.
    Deck-board border uses a four-side closed joist frame with full-span main joists, two continuous edge joists, edge blocking and four corner supports.
